Founder, The Grid

Stephen McCormack is the founder of The Grid, a free global heart coherence app that invites people to pause twice daily, place a hand on the heart, breathe slowly, and reconnect with a felt sense of love. Participants join at the same moment across continents, synchronising attention in real time — something only recently made possible at global scale through modern technology.

Based in the mountains of southern France near Montségur, Stephen began developing The Grid in the aftermath of personal loss, as a way of exploring heart-focused breathing and emotional regulation in a direct, lived way.

What started as a private practice evolved into a global experiment in collective attention. The Grid runs in multiple languages, allowing people around the world to share the same rhythm and intention simultaneously.

Previously, Stephen built and scaled a global privacy technology company. Today, his work explores the intersection of nervous system regulation, collective synchronisation, and technology — asking a simple question: what happens when human beings pause together?
