Patrick Paul Garlinger

I am a spiritual author and intuitive guide who assists individuals in connecting with their inner wisdom and higher self. Previously, I was a professor of Spanish literature and a lawyer. In 2000, I earned a Ph.D. at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and taught at the University of Iowa and Northwestern University. In 2009, I earned my J.D., magna cum laude, at NYU School of Law. After two clerkships with federal judges, I practiced law as a litigator in Manhattan.

Although literature and law might seem far from the world of spirituality, they have deeply informed my understanding of language, storytelling, social structures, and psychology as they bear on the human experience. I therefore bring to the field of spirituality a unique perspective informed by a rigorous engagement with language, literary and cultural theory, psychoanalysis, and the law.

My spiritual awakening coincided with my legal career, beginning with yoga and meditation, followed by a series of encounters with spiritual teachers in 2010. In 2016, after years of meditation, spiritual study, and healing practices, I experienced a kundalini awakening that transformed my consciousness and opened up my psychic faculties. In 2018, I transitioned from law to writing, as well as offering intuitive readings and teaching various workshops and online courses on spirituality and intuition.

I have published numerous works and articles.

I have published three channeled works. Seeds of Light: Channeled Transmissions on the Christ Consciousness (Anastasis Books, 2017) was awarded the Silver Medal in the category of Metaphysical for the 2018 Living Now Book Awards. That was followed by Bending Time: The Power to Live in the Now (Anastasis Books, 2018), and A World Without Identity: The Sacred Task of Uniting Humanity (Anastasis Books, 2020), which was awarded the 2020 Living Now Evergreen Silver Medal for World Peace.

My most recent book, Endless Awakening: Time, Paradox, and the Path to Enlightenment, was published by Monkfish Publishing Company under their Red Elixir imprint in November 2022. It received the 2023 Nautilus Silver Award for Personal Growth & Self-Help (Small Press), the 2023 Living Now Silver Award for Enlightenment/Spirituality, and the 2024 IPPY Bronze Award for New Age/Mind-Body-Spirit.

I publish extensively on the online platform Medium and have placed articles on spirituality in venues such as 11:11 Magazine, NY Spirit Magazine, Evolve Magazine, Oracle 20-20, Sedona Journal of Emergence, The Edge Magazine, and Conscious Lifestyle.

I work regularly with individuals who feel stuck and cannot see through the blocks holding them back from hearing their intuition or connecting with their deepest selves. Through intuitive readings and spiritual coaching, I assist them in recovering their power to create their lives in alignment with their values and higher selves.

I'm currently working on a book on the “shadow” side of the spiritual world. From sex abuse to toxic wellness, from the rise of the spiritual “influencer” to the convergence of MAGA extremism with New Age spirituality, it can be very difficult to navigate the saturated world of online spirituality. How do we do that without simply debunking spirituality but instead finding a way to fulfill its promise?
